Problem Statement

The customer faced challenges in configuring and monitoring their ‘Factory Floor PLCs and Controllers’. They required a secure tool that simplifies setup, manages certificates, handles configurations efficiently, and provides real-time visibility into system status and connected controllers and PLCs using OPC UA.


Our Solution



  • Our solution delivers a modern WPF-based Configurator Tool designed with MVVM architecture for scalability and maintainability

  • Starting from Figma prototypes, we built an intuitive interface that supports secure role-based access, seamless configuration handling, and efficient remote procedure call communication

  • With connection management, security management, support to establish connectivity with legacy fieldbus protocol devices, real-time updates, health monitoring, asynchronous operations, and dynamic data loading, the tool ensures a responsive, reliable, and professional user experience.

  • Development Timeline: Completed the final release within 8 months, with a beta release delivered in under 4.5 months.

  • Modular Architecture: Designed with flexibility in mind, allowing for easy incorporation of feedback from the on-site team.

  • Efficient Data Handling:

    • Implemented lazy loading and paging to manage large datasets, such as loading 10,000 child nodes in a tree view without performance degradation.

    • Capable of managing upto 50 parallel connected PLCs/Controllers.
