Role Overview
The Business Development Intern will support lead generation, market research, and outreach initiatives to help expand business opportunities in industrial and technology domains. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world B2B business development, client engagement strategies, and the positioning of engineering services in global markets.
You will work closely with leadership and engineering teams to understand how technical capabilities are translated into business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Prospecting
Research and identify potential clients including OEMs, system integrators, manufacturers, and industrial enterprises.
Build and maintain prospect databases and lead tracking sheets.
Support outreach activities including cold emails, cold calls, and LinkedIn engagement.
Assist in lead qualification and follow-ups under guidance.
Business Development Support
Assist in preparing introductory presentations, capability decks, and proposal inputs.
Support pipeline tracking and opportunity documentation.
Help maintain CRM records and ensure data accuracy.
Assist in identifying new market segments and growth opportunities.
Market & Industry Research
Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and potential markets.
Analyze customer segments and business opportunities.
Provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Marketing & Branding Support
Support LinkedIn content and website updates aligned with services and capabilities.
Assist in post-event follow-ups from trade fairs and industry exhibitions.
Support development of marketing collaterals and outreach campaigns.
Coordination & Learning
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand solutions and service offerings.
Learn how technical requirements are converted into commercial proposals.
Document insights, learnings, and process improvements.
Eligibility Criteria
MBA students (currently pursuing or recently completed).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets and PowerPoint.
Interest in technology, engineering services, and industrial markets.
Good to Have
Understanding of Industrial Automation, IoT, Embedded Systems, or Software Services.
Exposure to B2B sales, business development, or LinkedIn outreach.
Familiarity with CRM tools, Canva, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Analytical mindset and structured thinking.
